We are pleased to announce that ISO/IEC Guide 50, Safety aspects – Guidelines for child safety in standards and other specifications, has just been published and is now freely available on a dedicated page of ISO’s Web site,

This is the second of two fundamentally important Guides that ISO/COPOLCO has developed this year in partnership with the IEC Advisory Committee on Safety (IEC/ACOS). The first one, ISO/IEC Guide 51, Safety aspects – Guidelines for their inclusion in standards was published in April 2014. The Joint Working Group developing ISO/IEC Guide 50 made a concerted effort to refer to ISO/IEC Guide 51 in its revision work.
