The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) is a forum developed for discussion on trade and development and related issues. Its particular focus is on integration of developing countries into the global economy. The ISO's Committee on Developing Country Matters (ISO/DEVCO), of which the SCC is an active member, is working with UNCTAD to upgrade the communications technology infrastructure of countries in the Mediterranean and the Horn of Africa.
