There are various ways in which governments can effectively participate in Canadian, regional and international standards work:
- Find out about new opportunities for participation as a government representative in international standards development work
- Be recognized by the SCC and regulatory peers for input and contributions to standards-related work
- Tap into available support and take advantage of SCC’s orientation resources
SCC’s Policy and Stakeholder Relations Branch works closely with federal, provincial and territorial governments to identify areas where standards are a viable tool or alternative to regulation. The group also encourages regulators to participate in relevant technical committee work as well as SCC advisory committees.
