Consumers can play an integral role
As advocates for the safety and well-being of their families and communities, Consumers and Canadians in general play a key role in Canada’s standardization network:
- Highlighting issues such as the environment, health, safety, and privacy in standardization discussions; and
- Speaking out about products or services that do not meet expectations in terms of safety, quality or efficiency.
SCC is a valuable resource to help Canadians and consumers make their voices heard. Consumer representation contributes to the preservation of the Canadian quality of life through the application of appropriate standardization and conformity assessment solutions, where they are needed most.
