The 12th Annual Oil Sands Symposium will help participants respond to critical sector issues and overcome obstacles head on. These issues include increased oil sands output, new transportation routes and emerging export opportunities.
The Standards Council of Canada (SCC) will present its report, Proposed Standardization Solutions Supporting Oil and Gas Sector Priorities ,at the symposium. Sylvie C. Lafontaine, SCC’s Vice-President, Standards and International Relations, will deliver a presentation on standardization solutions to address labour mobility barriers, disparities among national occupational health and safety standards, and importing pipeline components, parts, etc. Her presentation will take place on December 5, 2013, at 12:15 p.m.
