NEW from Health Canada's Consumer Product Safety Program:
Dear members, please note that the OECD Working Party on Consumer Product Safety is now accepting public comments on the draft report on global tracking and traceability project.
The draft report is now available on the OECD’s Consumer Product Safety website (please also see attachment below in English and French).
The Canadian Toy Testing Council, a non-profit, was dissolved in March due to a lack of funding.
This organization has been active since 1952 through a network of families in the Ottawa region who would take the toys home and judge them on design, durability, safety and playability.
It's unfortunate that a lack of funding has resulted in the dissolution of the organization; it was a neat model for independent testing to occur (by kids!).
