Anita Kwong is the Director, Laboratory Quality and Process Improvement at Lower Mainland Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, which includes laboratory sites within Fraser Health, Providence Health Care, Provincial Health Services Authority, and Vancouver Coastal Health. She has more than 25 years of experience working within medical laboratories in various capacities, including technical and operational leadership roles.

Working with diverse professional teams, Anita is responsible for implementing the quality framework at Lower Mainland Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. This framework uses strategies aligned with standardization, process improvement and knowledge transfer. In her current position, Anita is also responsible for ensuring compliance to regulatory and accreditation requirements.

In addition to advocating for quality policies, Anita is a strong advocate for embedding quality in all processes and procedures, so that it becomes part of the culture and DNA of an organization. She has an MA in Leadership and is also a certified Lean practitioner with the American Society for Quality.
