The European Organization for Conformity Assessment (EOTC) is a strategic planning and policy development body founded in 1990 by the European Free Trade Association (EFTA), the European Union (EU) and the European Community for Electrotechnical Standardization (CENELEC) as a forum for discussion about the harmonization of conformity assessment practices in Europe and the elimination of technical barriers to trade.
