Acronym:
EMS
An environmental management system (EMS) is a management structure that allows an organization to assess and control the environmental impact of its activities, products or services. One of the best known examples of an EMS is ISO 14001, a set of international standards and guidance documents for environmental management developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The SCC accredits registration bodies to register organizations to ISO 14001.
