Our efforts to overhaul the Accreditation Services Branch operations are still ongoing. A modernized Quality Management System has been in place since the fall of 2013, and we have had two internal audits to test the effectiveness of the new QMS.
One of the most important goals for our new QMS is completing accreditation activities in a timelier manner; this will lead to efficiency for both our customers and for SCC. To this end, we have established a policy for all accreditation programs that all non-conformities cited in your findings report should be closed out within 3 months of the assessment visit.
We ask that you please take note the following targets, and help us to achieve these timelines:
Your ACTION PLAN to address the FINDINGS (NCR’s) should be submitted within 1 month after the completion of the assessment visit.
Following the approval of your action plan, your EVIDENCE OF IMPLEMENTATION of the corrections/corrective actions in the plan for ALL FINDINGS (NCR’s) is to be submitted in a timely manner in order to close ALL FINDINGS (NCR’s) 3 months after the assessment visit.
It’s an ambitious target – but with the determined efforts of everyone, from assessors, to SCC personnel, to you, we are confident that we will achieve it.
