Suzanne Morin, Council Member for the Standards Council of Canada (SCC), has received the prestigious Karen Spector Memorial Award for Excellence in Privacy law from the Ontario Bar Association. Nominees were evaluated against five criteria: legal contributions to the practice of privacy law, contributions through writing or public speaking, organizational contributions, outstanding mentorship, and other exemplary achievements in the area of privacy law.
In addition to participating in the strategic oversight of the SCC, Ms. Morin is also Assistant General Counsel, Privacy for Research in Motion (RIM) and has been involved in many associations, including the Canadian Coalition Against Internet Child Exploitation (CCAICE) and the Information Technology Association of Canada.
