The Standards Council of Canada (SCC) has granted accreditation to LGA InterCert GmbH located in Nuremberg, Germany, as a Quality Management Systems registration body. This accreditation is granted in accordance with the provisions of:
- CAN-P-10B: Criteria for the Accreditation of Organizations Registering Quality Systems (ISO/IEC Guide 62),
- CAN-P-1517: Conditions and Procedures for the Accreditation of Organizations Registering Quality Systems, and
- IAF Guidance on the application of ISO/IEC Guide 62.
In addition to being accredited by the SCC to provide quality management systems registration, LGA InterCert GmbH has also been recognized by Health Canada under the Canadian Medical Devices Conformity Assessment System (CMDCAS) in accordance with the requirements of Q90RO Policy on CMDCAS.
The SCC is the Canadian member body of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has internationally recognized credentials. The SCC's accreditation program for quality systems verifies and formally recognizes a registration body's competence to conduct quality management systems registrations and provides assurance that it is capable of delivering services in accordance with international requirements.
Accreditation by SCC ensures suppliers and customers that the registration body is committed to employ recognized and accepted quality and management practices, said Pat Paladino, director of conformity assessment at the Standards Council of Canada. “Simply put, it demonstrates an active commitment to some of the highest performance criteria.”
Given the SCC's status as a signatory to the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) Multi-lateral arrangement, quality management system registration certificates issued by our accredited registration bodies are recognized internationally.
