World Standards Day 2011 [Archive]

World Standards Day 2011 was a celebration of Canada's ongoing efforts to create global confidence through its standardization network.

The event featured opening remarks by Norma McCormick, Chair of the International Organization for Standardization's (ISO) Committee on Consumer Policy (COPOLCO), followed by a panel discussion by industry experts on how to improve the safety of consumer electrical products for today's global marketplace, and a tribute to SCC Chairman Hugh Krentz presented by John Connell, Associate Assistant Deputy Ministery of Industry Canada.
