Governing Council
The Standards Council of Canada (SCC) reports to Parliament through the Minister of Industry. Oversight is provided by the Governing Council which approves the strategic direction of the organization.
Council Support
Standing committees play an important role in supporting governance approaches. Advisory committees ensure the Board maintains access to a wide variety of advice, information and perspectives.
Mandate
SCC takes its mandate from the Standards Council of Canada Act, its governing legislation.
